When is David Wright gonna play in a spring training game?? In starting to get suspicious of an undisclosed injury!!

good news is the guys who got lit up today are guys not making the team.  German has been off.  Mazzoni was clearly not ready and Church just sucks.

Another good showing by deGrom.  Torres was very strong in the other game. CY and EY keep getting hits.  Kirk and Puello look good to this point.

They play 2 games at the same time and Tejada is out injured and TC still couldn't get a look at Flores at SS! When exactly is he planning on doing that if he couldn't even do so under these circumstances?

Eric Campbell could be a surprise at 1B.  His numbers have steadily improved each year.  He hit .314 in Vegas last year with a .435 OBP. Does not have much HR power, but seems like a solid doubles hitter with a good eye and decent speed.

Anyone know more about him?

Does anyone know how Mejia faired in the game ? And I agree WOR is horrific to listen too. I tried listening to it so I can get used to it, but it makes me want to vomit every single time. What a mistake wfan made. Even though the Yanks have $ to spend each yr for lavish free agents, they still should've re-negotiated with the Mets because of the upside. Harvey, Wheeler, Thor, Mejia, Niese, Gee and Montero. Whatever is the mix and whoever is traded, need I say more.

Which lineup is the B lineup and which one is the C?

i look at the nats lineup and they have werth zimmerman harper laroche desmond, ramos and span are pretty good as well.  Who do we have? wright murph grandy, that's the difference.  You have to add a couple guys to your lineup via free agent or trade even if you have to overpay.  Im not sayin be the Yankees but the occasional bad contract is ok example Jason werth.  I would love to have Jason werth in this Lineup.  Im all ab having young guys, home grown players, but you have to mix that w grandy drew and cruz.  Then you can live w a Lagares in your lineup and you can take a chance with ike or duda.  Its like our whole season is based on the success of guys like tejeda and Ike.

Jose Fernandez is a terrific pitcher. Stud.

the guy Sarantelli I know we most likely have to deal with Tejada starting but the backup is a major concern. unless Flores can show he can play ss . What do we have Omar Q for a short span ok but not long term.

Man I looked for the game on WOR Radio yesterday. The game wasn't on and I listened for a while. That's one heck of a neo-con/ t-party radio fest…I guess they make money but it's weird plopping the mets down in the middle of right-wing-hate-radio..(or any hate rado for that matter).

I hope WOR builds some programming around the Mets. Sorry Howie and Josh that stuff is toxic.

Who do I have to talk to to get a Steven Drew rumor around here? :)

That failed double play by Clark in the first inning of the Marlins game was one of the worst mistakes I've seen. It's Spring Training, but c'mon the guy's a veteran, that was a mistake I'd be surprised to see at the high school level.

Split-squad and they can't figure out how to put Flores at SS in either of them? Real nice.

Just out of curiousity, can anyone tell me which game Terry Collins is at? I'm curious, mostly because I want to know which game he is watching, and who he is "evaluating".

@Brian Webster  Agreed.  If Davey Johnson can play Kevin Mitchell at shortstop in the regular season, why can't we play Flores at SS in the spring?

@bleck319 Sounds like you could have been reading the Josh Satin scouting report.  Ok, maybe not the decent speed part.

@bleck319  Considering what we have at 1B I would consider Flores and Campbell for 1st B. However marginal vets like Lannan, Dice K., E,Y, Satin, Duda, Ike etc. are TC's favorite  type players. He hates to play young guys.

@Muhammad Qureshi  I agree!  Is it just me, or is WFAN now talking alot about hockey to avoid talking about the mets?

@Mike Dell Italia  The Nationals were 6th in the NL in runs scored last year. The Mets were 11th despite missed time for Wright, zero production from Ike, not a full season of D'Arnaud and without the additions of Granderson and Young. So the difference between the two clubs is not as big as you make it seem. You also gloss over the fact that Werth had a miracle season, Laroche fell off a cliff, and Ramos can't stay healthy. Even with a boost from a healthy Harper the Nationals lineup is by no means a juggernaut.

@rico  I agree, something tells me if Hitler, Mussolini and Stalin were alive - they would enjoy the programming on WOR.

@rico  it's one of the worst stations available. The Gambling family were a big part of the station for a long time, I think they had 3 generations of broadcasters on the station, I never heard the older two, but the most recent one was terrible, but a lot of people listened to him.  Getting the Mets to broadcast from their station probably saved it, since the Gambling family left.

@nymess  EXACTLY what i was thinking....insane...literally just insane.

Face it - Talk of him at SS was pure posturing to build leverage against Drew.

Was wondering the same exact thing...I could care less about the back-ups of backups, but curious to know if Collins is watching Lagares or EYJ's game...

@Opti-Mets-tic  I believe he's in Viera.

Damn it. Collins already got in his head by shunning him off to the pen.
