Jenrry Mejia 5 (BARON)

Sound Smart: 4 things to know before tonight’s Mets-Braves game

1) Gonzalez Germen has retired 16 of the last 17 batters he faced.

2) This is Jenrry Mejia’s eighth professional season, but he is six months younger than Matt Harvey and just six months older than Zack Wheeler.

3) The Mets are 0-4 when trailing after six innings.

4) The last time the Mets posted a winning season series against the Braves was in 2006.

SOUND SMART:  Don't refer to Mejia as #32.

we were down 3-2 in the 9th to Cinci.  So...do we need a new stat to sound smart then?

Why not have a contest for alternatives to "Sound Smart?"

Ken1010 had a couple of suggestions yesterday, one of which was "Plotlines."  Not bad.

Hopefully that 0-4 stat changes after last nights 3-run ninth inning.

RE #3 - weren't the Mets trailing when Davis hit the Grand Slam in the 9th?

Crystal Ball, what do ye say about tonight's Mets/Braves game?

Crystal Ball predict a Mets 8-1 victory!  Davis goes 3 for 4 with at least 3 RBIs; Mets pitching is lights out as the Mets take 2 of 3 from the Tomahawks!

@Nicholas Vargas  this is confusing the hell out of me, so you're saying hopefully they're trailing after 6 tonight, and win?

They weren't trailing in the 6th.

@72tilltc  #3 makes it look like they haven't won a game when trailing after the 6th inning, but they came back down 3-2 in the 9th. Worded weirdly, and probably shouldn't be there.
