Shaun Marcum 1 polaroidAccording to Adam Rubin of ESPN New York, Shaun Marcum is expected to throw two innings of a simulated game in the next couple of days.

If all goes well, Marcum could pitch five innings in a rehab game with Single-A St. Lucie next week, after which Marcum could be activated from the disabled list.

Last week, Marcum was diagnosed with nerve inflammation in his neck at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, and received “trigger-point injections” in his neck. He is on the 15-day disabled list with biceps tendinitis, retroactive to March 22.
