Johan Santana, Shaun Marcum, Jenrry Mejia, and Frank Francisco have officially been put on the 15-day disabled list.
The Mets announced yesterday that Santana will undergo a second surgery tomorrow to repair a torn anterior capsule in his left shoulder.
He is not expected to be present for Opening Day introductions or to visit with his teammates today, a Mets official told ESPN New York.
Marcum was listed as having biceps tendinitis in his pitching arm, according to the team. Marcum had been dealing with a neck injury previously.
In case you missed it yesterday, the final 25-man roster is: Daniel Murphy, Ike Davis, David Wright, Ruben Tejada, Justin Turner and Jordany Valdespin on the infield; John Buck and Anthony Recker behind the plate; Colin Cowgill, Marlon Byrd, Lucas Duda, Kirk Nieuwenhuis and Mike Baxter in the outfield; Jon Niese, Matt Harvey, Dillon Gee and Jeremy Hefner in the rotation; and Greg Burke, Jeurys Familia, Josh Edgin, Scott Rice, Scott Atchison, LaTroy Hawkins, Brandon Lyon and Bobby Parnell in the bullpen.
