I hope that Mike Piazza will finally get into the Hall OF Fame. He was a hard working player despite what happened to some player who took the easy way out.

I'd admire him more if he said he wanted no part in the HOF because 90percent of  his generation, even the best, Barry Bonds, shouldn't be celebrated. Because you might as well celebrate wall street crooks because the ones who cheated stole a bunch of money and drove up ticket prices..

There are photos of Tom Glavine and Frank Thomas getting the calls from the HOF. Glavine was like a robot with no emotion and Frank Thomas was normal and very happy. What is wrong with Glavine? How can you not show like you care and be excited? He was the same in 2007 after that disaster season ending start. SMH

Throwing out a thought provoking question.  Who would you take out of the HOF and why?

The HOF voting is seriously flawed. There are personal vendetta's, sanctimony and unexplained stubbornness and I believe the fans are sick of it. Thugs like Dan Shaunessy use their ballot to push their vitriol.

I would opt for going to the veterans immediately because the BBWA have proven themselves incapable of good decisions.

He needs to get in in the next 2 years....if he doesn't he probably wont until the vets vote him in (if they do). The fact that he didn't get in this year is a disgrace.

@Bob Burket his even keel approach is part of what made him successful. besides what reasonable intellectual adult cares about the hall of fame anyway? it's a museum which is nice, but the part about the players getting in or not is totally ridiculous. it's like a fraternity, some sort of club. who cares? it's totally pretentious. and it doesn't change what a player has done in his career if after that career , some writer s and players decide to subjectively allow someone into their club. i guess there are financial benefits to being able to say i am part of the HOF, but practically it is nothing. and i doubt glavine's ego needs it. he knows he was excellent.

Jim Rice was not a deserving candidate. Seriously overreacted.
