Daniel Murphy broke a scoreless tie in the third inning with a two-run home run. Taylor Teagarden, who made his Mets debut, hit a grand slam just over the right field wall with two outs in the sixth inning, after Milwaukee starter Marco Estrada walked the bases loaded. Jenrry Mejia worked a perfect ninth inning in a non-save situation.
