Randy St. Claire will join the Mets’ organization as their pitching coach at Triple-A Las Vegas, according to Adam Rubin of ESPN New York.
St. Claire, 52, most recently served as pitching coach for the Miami Marlins, but was fired after the 2012 season. He had served as their pitching coach since 2010.
He spent seven years as pitching coach of the Montreal Expos and Washington Nationals until he was fired in the middle of 2009.
In nine years with the Expos, Reds, Twins and Braves, St. Claire 12-6 with a 4.14 ERA in 162 relief appearances.
