Prospects RHP Noah Syndergaard and C Kevin Plawecki will be the Mets’ representatives at the All-Star Futures Game on All-Star Sunday in Minnesota, Major League baseball announced today.
Syndergaard started the game last year for Team USA. The righty has a 4.98 ERA and a 6-4 record in 13 starts with Triple-A Las Vegas this year.
This is Plawecki‘s first Futures Game. He’s hitting .326/.378/.486 with Double-A Binghamton this year. He may be promoted to Triple-A soon, given Travis d’Arnaud‘s return to the Major League club (MetsBlog, June 23.)
Last year, Syndergaard played in the game with pitcher Rafael Montero and outfielder Brandon Nimmo.
The game is at Target Field on July 13 at 4pm CT.
