Phillies gave away Mets truck, Mets made same mistake

The Mets were mocked online Wednesday after pictures from a give-away gone wrong revealed a Phillies truck inside their packaging (Crossing Broad, Aug. 6). However, it appears the Phillies were guilty of the same error (Crossing Broad, Aug. 7):

see this is why these teams are in 4th and 5th place. Sounds like the work of George Costanza on Seinfeld.

Somewhere, a factory worker is having a good laugh over this!

@AntDeRosa would have been awesome if the whole thing was an effort to create a neutral location swap meet.

Shouldn't the team logos be larger and the advertiser be smaller?

Obviously the distributor/manufacturer's fault, not the reams.

Trucks are in the wrong packaging. The door of the truck has the other team's logo on it.

The Phillies guys who screwed up are already looking for new jobs. The Mets guys were given 3 year extensions.

These trucks are assembled in China where they have no idea of baseball. Hilarious that one truck has a mets cab and a Phillies top.

It seems like the error was on the WB Mason side.

And all this time I thought it was because the Mets were a maturing team that needed more hitting and the Phillies were a group of aging veterans not being replaced fast enough by talented younger players. But sure, we'll go with a simple mistake involving toy trucks that could have happened to anybody as a sign of a team being incompetent or cursed by the netherworld. That's far more rational.
