Pedro Feliciano will not participate in baseball activities for two weeks

However, Sandy Alderson told reporters on Sunday while it is not clear Feliciano actually has a hole in his heart, he will wear a heart monitor and not participate in baseball activities for at least two weeks.


On Friday, Alderson told reporters Feliciano returned to New York for a follow-up to his physical.

Feliciano is 22-19 with a 3.31 ERA in 459 appearances over eight big league seasons. He has not pitched in the Major Leagues since he left the Mets after the 2010 season after battling shoulder problems.
