Bobby Parnell 1 (BARON)

Bobby Parnell sidelined with tight quad

Bobby Parnell did not participate in any activities on the field today due to a tight left quadriceps muscle.

Terry Collins told reporters that trainer Ray Ramirez wanted Parnell inside all day on Friday.

Collins said he hopes Parnell can resume activities on Saturday. He was scheduled to throw his third bullpen session Thursday, but requested an extra day of rest (ESPN NY, Feb. 20).

Uh-oh!  Looks like Bobby's already in mid-season form. This should probably keep him out for a month or two. Let;s just hope he has a good PILLOW this time around.

I realize this has nothing to do with this but... has anyone else noticed that Dan Warthen looks a lot like Dr. Nefario? My daughter was watching Despicable Me and I just started to LMAO.

Thank god we didn't sign a decent closer as insurance.

...and so it begins, the daily drumbeat of what's wrong with Parnell. The hip bone is connected to the thigh bone, yup, one thing after another. Perhaps a visit to the DL, who knows, hope I'm wrong but I'm not liking how this is looking.

Ray Ramirez should've been fired years ago. He's the only trainer in the MLB who gets booed every Opening Day...

does anyone know why they insult the intelligence of the average fan like this though? Like whats the strategic benefit? If he is hurt he is hurt say it no? If hes lazy call him out no?

I said it yesterday that I saw where this was going and this was just the start of bad news on Parnell and now here we go with a 2nd straight day where he's held out. This is just the beginning of what will be at best a lost season for Parnell. Yet the Mets did virtually nothing to address this very reasonable possibility besides sign 2 washed up bums in Valverde and Farnsworth to minor league deals. Still waiting for that veteran bullpen arm on a major league deal Sandy.

Here we go.  He will be out until August.

@E2 Productions  you should be fired from being a fan and life if you believe this guy has a tight left quad and even better that it has anything to do with the trainer
