NY Post: Mets can’t use youth push as excuse to be cheap in offseason

When they designated Chris Young for assignment, the Mets signaled a transition towards youth for the remainder of the season. Giving players like Matt den Dekker and Wilmer Flores ample time to demonstrate their abilities will be a goal the rest of the season.
