This afternoon at Sun Life Stadium in Miami, Jerry Manuel told reporters Oliver Perez will go to the bullpen.
…it’s an interesting move, to say the least…i don’t know how he can work his problems out in that role, as a reliever, while taking up a roster spot at the big league level, because right now, he simply cannot make another appearance…i wish him well, and hope he can get himself back on track…
The Mets have not yet named Perez’s replacement in the starting rotation, although Oliver Perez told reporters ‘Hisanori Takahashi is pitching better than me.’
Perez said he has no interest in going to Triple-A to work out his problems.
