Dillon Gee was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a right lat strain. Gee is only expected to miss two starts. He is eligible to return from the DL on May 26.


Rookie RHP Jacob deGrom will temporarily take Gee’s spot in the rotation. He will make his major league debut against the Yankees on Thursday night.


Travis d’Arnaud, who was struck in the head with a backswing while catching late during Tuesday’s game, is experiencing concussion-like symptoms. Sandy Alderson suggested that d’Arnaud may land on the seven-day concussion disabled list. Catcher Juan Centeno is on the way from Triple-A Las Vegas.
