Jon Niese, who was activated from the disabled list Saturday, made his season debut on Sunday. He allowed two runs on six hits in 5 2/3 innings.


With the Mets embarking on a road trip, Matt Harvey will head to Florida to continue rehabbing from Tommy John surgery. This follows the plan that was outlined prior to the season. Harvey is expected to return to New York when the Mets do.
