Daniel Murphy was placed on paternity leave and was replaced on the roster by Wilmer Flores. Murphy is expected back for Thursday afternoon’s game against the Nationals at Citi Field.


After sitting out on Opening Day with a tight quad, Chris Young returned to the lineup Wednesday, but he was removed after a half inning when the injury flared up. He was replaced in left field by Andrew Brown.
