When Fred arrived at the ballpark, he went directly towards Johnson, who was behind the cage watching his hitters. Other old friends of Davey — such as Keith Hernandez — came over to say hi as well. To me, it’s still hard to see Johnson in that navy and red. It strikes me every time.
