The Mets will not officially announce David Wright’s contract extension tomorrow, as some reporters had been speculating, according to Mike Puma of the New York Post.

Wright and the Mets reportedly agreed to a new eight-year contract last week.

Earlier today, Sandy Alderson told reporters that Wright took his physical earlier this afternoon.
