Mets Watch Doug Davis Throw in Arizona

According to Jesse Sanchez of MLB.com, the Mets were among eight teams observing LHP Doug Davis during a 45 pitch throwing session in Arizona today.

The 35 year old Davis made just eight starts for the Brewers last season, and didn’t appear in a game after July 9. He went 1-4 with a 7.51 ERA in just 38 1/3 innings, allowing 21 walks and six home runs over that span. He is recovering from elbow surgery, but according to Sanchez, Davis says he feels “great”.
