Sandy Alderson suggested it was unlikely the Mets would add anyone via the Rule 5 draft, according to Adam Rubin of ESPN New York.

If the Mets add a player from the Rule 5 draft, he has to remain on the 25-man roster all year long – otherwise he has to be offered back to his former team for $25,000. The Mets have 37 players on the 40-man roster right now, and that is before they add any free agents or make a trade. This draft is supposed to be very strong, but the Mets really don’t have the roster flexibility to add anyone right now.
