Mets prospects move before MiLB playoffs

With the minor league regular season over, the Mets made organizational moves before the minor league playoffs started. With Triple-A Las Vegas, Double-A Binghamton and Single-A Savannah all headed to postseason play in their respective leagues, the Mets were able to promote some players to extend their seasons and beef up those teams’ chances.

Among those receiving calls were 2014 first-round pick Michael Conforto, who will head to Single-A Savannah from short-season Single-A Brooklyn. These moves set off chain reactions, which begin with the promotions to the big league club — like that of Dilson Herrera last week.
