The Mets will likely tender Justin Turner a new contract this winter, according to Andy Martino of the Daily News.
Martino says the Mets don’t project Turner will make more than $1 million in his first year of arbitration eligibility, and they don’t view that as an overpay for his overall production.
Turner, 28, hit .280 with a .319 OBP, two home runs and 16 RBI in 214 plate appearances over 86 games in 2013. He started 38 games for the Mets this past season.
