The team also held a pregame dedication ceremony, which also featured representatives impacted by superstorm Sandy, the Yarnell Hill Fire disaster, and the Boston Marathon bombings.
Unfortunately, according to these photos from MetsPolice.com, there were not many fans in attendance to see it. Also, the hats were taken away from the team before they could wear them during the game, according to this tweet from David Aardsma.
