I like that the Mets are keeping Travis in camp for as long as possible. It’s more time for him to learn and build a relationship with the pitching staff, and it’s more time for the team to assess his tools. However, it’s not worth risking injury and burning service time. I bet he’s cut soon, probably when John Buck is better from the flu. At which point, TdA will leave for minor league camp. No doubt, Buck and Anthony Recker will be this team’s catchers when it leaves St. Lucie to start the season. But, not for long… I expect TdA on the 25-man roster at some point during May or June, which will be around the same time I expect to see Zack Wheeler in Citi Field, as well. They should bring them up at the same time, so it can feel like a second Opening Day…
And yes, the D is capitalized when starting a sentence with d’Arnaud.
