Lucas Duda and Matt den Dekker are considering playing Winter Ball, according to ESPN New York.
Both want to accumulate more at-bats due to injury-plagued 2013 seasons.
Duda, 27, is hitting .232 with a .351 OBP and .777 OPS, 14 home runs and 31 RBI in 91 big leagues games in 2013. He appeared in 29 games in the minor leagues before being promoted in late August. Duda missed time with a strained intercostal muscle earlier this year and was demoted to the minor leagues upon being activated from the disabled list.
Den Dekker, 25, is hitting .245 with a .315 OBP and .641 OPS, one home run and six RBI in 20 big league games. He hit .296 with a .366 OBP and .852 OPS, six home runs and 38 RBI in 53 games at Triple-A Las Vegas. He missed the first half of the season with a broken wrist he sustained during Spring Training in March.
