11:55 PM: The Orioles are pursuing free agent outfielders Nelson Cruz and Shin-Soo Choo (Morosi).
Updated, 8:58 pm: The Yankees are unlikely to sign free agent OF Carlos Beltran. The Royals, Red Sox and Rangers are his most likely landing spots. So far, the Royals are the only team known to be willing Beltran a three-year deal (Heyman).
8:31 pm: OF Matt Kemp is, “in play” for the Red Sox, and they’d be willing to absorb some of his contract in the right deal (Cafardo).
5:30 pm: The Brewers are expected to pursue a trade for Marlins OF Logan Morrison (Cotillo).
4:20 PM: The A’s and Diamondbacks recently discussed a deal which would have sent OF Yoenis Cespedes to Arizona, but neither side was ultimately comfortable with the trade (Rosenthal).

The way I understand, the Mets and other teams contacted the A’s about Cespedes around the GM Meetings and were told he would only be moved if Billy Beane was overwhelmed, otherwise he’s more likely to get dealt next summer or winter.
“I’d say there’s a 5% chance he’s on the A’s in 2015,” one league executive, who talked with Oakland, predicted to me.
10:45 am: The Royals are the only team willing to give free agent OF Carlos Beltran a three-year deal, and so its becoming more unlikely the Yankees and Red Sox continue pursuing him (Heyman).
Michael Baron, ContributorIf the Red Sox are out on Beltran, I wonder how that might impact a potential run at Curtis Granderson for them. The Red Sox were reportedly not in contact with Granderson, but that could change now that Jacoby Ellsbury has signed with the Yankees and there being very few quality options behind Granderson, Shin-Soo Choo and Nelson Cruz.
12:20 am: The Angels are unlikely to trade OF Mark Trumbo (Fletcher).
