Ross had reportedly been seeking a three-year deal between $21-25 million. If those are his demands, it’s hard to see the Mets getting involved for his services, assuming they are interested. Don’t get me wrong – I think Ross is an ideal fit and could potentially keep the Mets from having to deal from their starting pitching in order to acquire an outfielder. But it’s hard to see the Mets getting involved at that dollar amount for three years.
