Michael Baron, ContributorIf the Mets still have a need in January, I wonder if the Mets would consider Young. He’s recovering from minor ankle surgery and reportedly wants to be completely healthy for when he signs. Young doesn’t get on-base a lot but he is right-handed and hits for power and had even home run splits both at home and on the road, which is notable considering the deep dimensions at Comerica Park. He wouldn’t be my first choice, but he’s worthy of a look on a short-term deal.
