Juan Lagares cuts

Juan Lagares playing in simulated game Wednesday

Juan Lagares, currently rehabbing a right intercostal injury, is participating in a simulated game on Wednesday in Port St. Lucie (Puma, June 18).

The Mets believe that Lagares, who was placed on the disabled list on June 2, will be able to return next week.

The next step for Lagares will likely be playing in rehab games.

In 172 plate appearances over 42 games for the Mets in 2014, Lagares is hitting .295/.327/.429.

Our chances of making the playoffs just increased to 8.9%!!  Go Mets!!

My parents wanted to take me to a Mets game for my birthday.  I asked that they donate the $300 to this organization that buys Llama's for poor South American families.  True story!

Hopefully, when he comes back, TC will play him and not sit him.

Does anyone notice how even when Flores makes outs, he hit the crap out of the ball quite often?

They simulated the Mets losing to re acclimate him to the major league club.

I hope his simulated team is better than his reality based one.  If it is, he might decide to stay there.

anyone want to bet that when Juan does come back he is going to have to split time with the 2 youngs and abreu?  it is almost gauranteed that he will not play more then 4 out of every 7 games.

After seeing our line-up, that's what the Cardinals are calling today's match - a simulated game.

He popped up four simulated times with the bases loaded, didn't bother tagging a simulated base stealer, and simulated running toward the dugout instead of covering first. He's ready to be a Met again.

He'll still be on the losing side....even if it is a simulated game

What is Mets record with and without Lagares?

I'll take that bet. He's been in 42 games this year and started 36 of them.
