Nash - Brassard - Zucc

Kreider - Stepan - Hayes

Etem - Stoll/Lindberg - Miller

Fast - Moore - Stalberg

Stoll/Linberg will be playing/13th forward for most of the year unless one wins the job outright.  Those are pretty potent lines top to bottom.

We signed Stoll to play because he's great on face offs which is something we lacked last year, he's going to play

I would guess that Hayes will challenge for a RW spot on the top two lines for sure.  Rangers may consider leaving him on the wing on the 3rd line too but he won't be playing center.  Not with Stoll, Moore and Lindberg having much better faceoff percentages than him.

I could see Etem also getting a chance to play in the top six if he has a good camp.  I think people forget that he is 3 years younger than Hagelin and while he's been in the league a bit he has a chance to develop with some great talent around him.  I would throw our third line out there with any in the league.

Defense looks like it's locked down.  It will come down to whether the Rangers want McIlrath or Diaz as the seventh defenseman.  Mc would have to pass through waivers to go back down to Hartford as will Lindberg so I expect both to be with the Rangers come the start of the regular season.

@ MarkDesSanctis emerson etem a top 6 foward? I dont think he has scored more then 15 - 20 pts in a season. We r trying 2 win a cup here asap we have 7 fowards that r a lock 2 b on the 1st 2 lines that r better then etem and im sure the one that dont will b on the 3rd line and I'm not even counting lindberg as one of the top 7 that r gonna be in the top 6 dont get me wrong I'd love 2 c etem be a 20-25 goal scorer because I think we should a kept hags he was a perfect 3rd line player if we get the same stats out a etem as we got out a hags that would be fine with me. But top 6 I just dont c it. Maybe u know something about him that I dont. He is young so I like that about but I would a found a way 2 have kept hags I think he was a perfect fit 4 this team and hes gonna be missed.

@vack13 I saw a graphic where they divided his numbers up based on how many minutes he saw in a game.  He scored most of his goals when he saw top 6 minutes.  His lack of scoring in Anaheim came from the situations the Boudreau was putting him in.  Does that mean he is going to gurantee'd light it up on the Rangers?  No.  But to use his point totals from his career up to this point is short sighted.

This really is a friendly note, as I love this site and have it as my first bookmark, but shouldn't your headline be "...according to a French-Canadian Hockey Magazine?"  It sounds like the magazine is based in Montreal, not Paris.

It doesn't both me, but some might take issue with that.

I like the lines above, but now with the addition of Stoll it would seem that Hayes might move up to the wing on the 2nd line with Step and Kreids, Stoll or Lindberg would take the 3rd line center spot and then it will be a cage match between Stoll or Lindberg, Miller, Stalberg, Glass, Fast, Etem (and maybe I'm missing someone) for the remaining spots.  Having this competition for bottom 6 spots is a very good problem to have.

I like this team once again. This is our year.
