I would love to listen to todays game. Too bad the signal is so weak in my area of NJ. Losing WFAN is awful.

Woo-hoo! 3 games in and already in mid-season form!

Had to get that over with.

The young pitching has been mostly impressive so far. The lineup, not so much, but geez, its only the first week in March! Its going to be fun to watch the pitching and maybe d'Arnaud this year, but this is still a 75-win, 4th place team in the NL east. And, BTW, they won't win that 75th game with Terry as manager....

Bad News Mets. I know it's early but  this is getting old. Met fans deserve better

I hope that now that Ruben Tejada is "injured," and the fact that he is the single worst player in the MLB... the Mets better be talking to the Arizona Diamondbacks about a trade of Rafael Montero and Cory Mazzoni or Jacob DeGrom for Chris Owings. The fact that Arizona has a fleet of shortstops in the minor leagues/major leagues should give the Mets a nice chance of prying one of the them away from a team that's already got nice hitting and'll need another starter down the line in the near future. A trade of Montero and DeGrom offer for Owings might get Arizona interested. I know that they want an elite catching prospect, not saying that Kevin Plawecki is, but Arizona might say "How bout Montero and Plawecki?" I wouldn't consider it for the fact being that Plawecki is already regarded as a damn good catching prospect, if he hits the same he did last year in the minors this year, and if his only flaw, defense, improves... he'll be regarded as one of the best catching prospects in the MLB by seasons end. So, with all that said, I wouldn't trade Plawecki until one, he proves he's elite, and two... we see how d'Arnaud does this year.

You are correct that spring training games mean very little, especially from a fan perspective. However, for players trying to make a name for themselves or trying to reestablish themselves, these games are extremely important. That said, we can't say they mean nothing and then laud Syndergaard as the next coming if he blows through the Braves.

Who or what would you take in return for Niese?

You are 100% correct on all of that...with all due respect to Yankee fans.
