Murphy is seeking $3.4 million, and the Mets have countered with a $2.55 million offer.

Both Davis and Murphy made the league minimum last year.

MLB Trade Rumors has predicted Davis would earn $2.8 million, and Murphy would earn $3 million through the arbitration process.

If there is no settlement, Davis’ and Murphy’s salaries will be settled by an arbitrator in February.

It’s worth noting Davis is “Super Two” eligible this year, and will have three more years of arbitration before he can become a free agent. He cannot earn less than 80 percent of his prior year’s salary through the arbitration process.
