• The Cubs will shop OF Alfonso Soriano, and are willing to pay a portion of the $36 million he is owed over the next two years (FOX Sports).
• The Phillies are in heavy pursuit of OF Angel Pagan, and the Giants apparently are short of the Phillies’ current four-year proposal (ESPN).
• Ichiro Suzuki is considering signing with teams other than the Yankees, and his agent says if they get a deal they like, Ichiro won’t wait for the Yankees (NY Post).
• Adam LaRoche is looking for a three-year deal from the Nationals, while the Nationals are more interested in signing him to a two-year deal (Washington Post).
• The Red Sox would like to re-sign RHP Scott Atchison after non-tendering him on Friday (WEEI).
