Matt Harvey 1

Harvey to rehab in Florida on Monday

With the Mets on the road, Matt Harvey will travel to Florida to continue rehabbing from Tommy John surgery (Ackert, April 6).

Harvey will return to Port St. Lucie when the Mets are on the road and come back to New York when the team is at Citi Field.

In June, when he gets closer to pitching off the mound, he will transition to doing his work full time in Florida.

“I think he’s happy with that arrangement,” GM Sandy Alderson said when the rehab agreement was announced in March (MetsBlog, March 25). “We’re happy with that arrangement. We think it will work well so we’re going to go ahead on that basis.”

Harvey had Tommy John surgery in October, 2013, and is expected to miss all of the 2014 season.

Just keep him away from taxis and late-night quests for Dominican food.

Even Harvey needs to get away from this offense.

@Joe Wenzel Butterfly Effect:  If Sanchez doesn't go out in search of 'Dominican Food' he doesn't get in the accident and Mets probably win the pennant.

that accident and trade is why we didnt win the 2006 world series. also getting food at 3Am and being in that cab was his fault! but minaya did over react.
