RHP Aaron Harang, OF Mike Baxter and C Juan Centeno have been added to the big-league roster.
Harang, 35, was signed to a minor-league deal last week and will wear John Buck’s old No. 44. He pitched 6.0 innings, allowed six hits, three runs and struck out six in the PCL semi-finals.
Update – 4:16 p.m.: Harang will start on Thursday against the Nationals.
Harang later tossed 4.0 innings of relief on September 2 for Las Vegas. He had been 5-11 with a 5.76 ERA in 22 starts this year for the Seattle Mariners before being released.
This will be Centeno’s first time on a big-league roster. In 67 games for Triple-A Las Vegas, he hit .305 (65-213) with 10 doubles in 28 games.

I first heard Centeno’s name mentioned as a possibly big leaguer this past summer, when I started asking about Buck and future back-ups to Travis d’Arnaud. I think this kid is a legit possibility for next season’s 25-man roster. The Mets like that he makes contact, works at bats and puts the ball in play. He’s never going to hit for a ton of power, but he makes up for that with incredible defense and smart hitting. They say he has an excellent arm and gets in front of the ball well. I don’t expect he’ll get a ton of at bats, but I hope to see more of what he’s about.
