Matthew Cerrone, Lead Writer
It’s been an unbelievable 12 months for MetsBlog.com. We’re going to do more than 5 million page views this December, the most of any month during the site’s 10-year run. We will log over 40,000,000 clicks for 2013, the most for a single year. The only thing that could make writing this site more fun than it already is would be to see our favorite team legitimately push for — and make — the playoffs. Hopefully, this happens in 2014.
We like to move the goalposts on the blog, continually striving to change for the better and keep up with — or ahead of — the latest ideas in digital publishing. I do this because my goal is to keep making what we do useful, subtle, simple and easy to read. I dip and swerve, adjust and work hard to stay ahead of digital trends. And, through it all, I appreciate your patience, loyalty and feedback. It does not go unnoticed or unappreciated. You mean the world to me and I’m very thankful for everyone who enjoys what we do.
I’m in the business of customer service, keeping you aware, and in the loop, of what’s going on with the Mets, offering context and some insight along the way, and doing it as a passionate fan who cares about the same things you do. I hope this is reflected in the work and that you keep reading in 2014…
Happy New Year and Let’s Go Mets!!
