Curtis Granderson stretches in the dugout

Granderson sick and Young out, both will not play on Tuesday

Curtis Granderson is sick and will not be available to play on Tuesday night, the Mets announced before the game.

Granderson’s illness sprung up after Monday’s game.

Chris Young is also unavailable. He is still nursing a sore calf, injured during Monday’s game.

It's fair to CY if Sandy cuts him too.  Maybe there's another team out there that WILL give him more ABs a week.   He can barely be used to PH, there is no DH, wouldn't be used as a defensive replacement late in games, and doesn't deserve to take anymore ABs from other younger players.  So what is Sandy doing with him exactly?  Admit the mistake and cut this guy already

If I played for the Mets I would be sick too. Young is a TREMENDOUS loss.

SO Niese says he's fine and he goes on the DL, but CY says he's hurt and they don't.

Good thing the Mets have 13 outfielders on their roster.....

We shouldn't even be paying for this hurt calf. Kick him out the door already! He sucks!

Situations like these are EXACTLY why we carry six outfielders.  I don't think Terry and Sandy get the respect they deserve for how smart they are.

Probably a wash. Anyway, they are averaging .220 between them.

@Eric Vierow Well they are both out but it doesn't look like either will go on the DL so no one is coming up

@Frank They have to pay him regardless. Hurt or not hurt. Cut or not cut.

@Frank well, if he was a horse, you know what they would do back in the day ... just saying ...

@baldy And if Tejada getting hit on the hand last night had forced him to leave the game, Terry and Sandy's best and only option was to put Campbell at short?  They don't seem too smart to me.
