Dillon Gee

Gee will head to PSL, no timetable for return

The Mets initially indicated Dillon Gee would miss just two starts when he was put on the disabled list May 11 with a strained back muscle.

He’s already missed three starts and will now travel to Port St. Lucie to start a new rehab program.

“We’re going to go with the slow-and-steady approach this time,” Gee said (ESPN, May 27).

Gee said he progressed too quickly and aggravated the muscle this past Sunday when trying to throw off a mound.

He told reporters he currently has no definitive timetable for his return.

They didn't get this injury wrong. Injuries aren't cut and dry for everyone. A back injury especially can feel like nothing and then you try and come back too quick and your strain it again. He'll be back after the all star break

With all the turmoil yesterday the Mets said Thor's MRI came out "OK".  I don't trust anything the team says.  Expect him to have TJ surgery within a month.

How do they get injuries wrong EVERY time?  Anyone who believes Noah is healthy, I've got a bridge to sell you.
