Gee to come off DL Wednesday

Jon Niese is on the DL, and Dillon Gee is off it. The Mets announced on Sunday that Gee will come off the disabled lost and start on Wednesday at Citi Field against the Braves.

Gee is 3-1 for the Mets with a 2.73 ERA this season. He was strong in a rehab start for the Brooklyn Cyclones on Friday striking out 10 and allowing only one run.

Gee was placed on the DL retroactive to May 11 with a lateral strain.

We still have a better pitching staff than the Yankees for many years to come .I know the mets will never be the Yankee but I know we have a bright future ahead minus a few front office people an every met fan knows who.............

You geniuses are aware that "lat" is short for latissimus and not lateral... right?

@brian2740  The rush is that Niese was just put on the DL so they need another SP to take his spot in the rotation and he and the team thinks Gee is ready
