Need to Know: Wheeler gave up six earned runs, allowed seven hits and walked two in his four innings of work. He struck out just one. It was his worst start in the majors.
Carlos Torres struggled in his second inning of work, giving up three earned runs, including a solo home run by Charlie Blackmon.
The Mets got on the board first, with Juan Lagares leading off the game with a double and later scoring on a wild pitch. Lagares later singled for his second two-hit game since coming off the disabled list.
Curtis Granderson hit a two-run home run in the sixth inning, his second homer of the season. Chris Young scored on the homer, walking to lead off the inning.
David Wright also picked up two hits.
