If given the chance, Flores should produce a .270 average with 25 doubles, 10-15 homeruns and 70 rbi's... play average defense and most of his hits will come with runners in scoring position...A clutch player, something we desperately need

Thank you for finally doing what I asked for all year. Fun game to watch. Tolo is amazing. Glad he is still with us.

These are games that try men's soles!  (Think I'll go out for a walk.......)

The pity is they waited so long to get rid of Abreu and CY. Same as they did with Valverde and Farnsworth and keeping Tejada in there so long.

Might have been in the hunt if they played the kids earlier.

Marlon Anderson on the Phillies postgame just said when you're a hitter and are getting shut down like Colon was doing to the Phillies tonight, you are very glad when he's removed from the game.

So Chris Young is gone. Abreu is gone. Flores will start at short.

I guess they still have Wright to complain about.

Flores looked good and so did d'Arnaud. I really enjoy watching all of the young talent coming up and producing.

Today is a step in the right direction for the mets and their fans...the end of Ruben Tejada and CY...

No way Tejada is the SS next season after pretty much losing his job for the rest of this season...

Mets...these little moves have showed us something...thank you

Lets not go nuts...Flores and denDekker still have to produce. They could flop, but at least the organization would know prior to offseason. Either way, good moves. They're playing for next year's team and offseason moves now. Will be fun to watch (hopefully).

@theglider not me, I have no complaints with wright, the guy is the clubhouse leader and obviously going thru some kind of trouble either health and/or just slumping, he had two hits today so maybe that gets him going.

@BerryBeltran  I wouldn't be in the least bit upset if that came to pass.  Good luck to him.  It just wasn't happening with the Mets.  Very happy that he's gone.

@1harris1 @Rimo Chaloney I think he should, we've seen kirk, we've seen campbell, time to let Den Decker get consistent playing time and see how he does, not saying he will be a starter in 2015 but lets see what he can/can't do. That is what i'd do.

@golfpro Amazing even after a win, they cut CY and Tejada is done hopefully....negativity is still alive...at least for today, it is a happy day
