Need to Know: Familia worked two innings of shutout baseball before coming out for a third inning, and gave up a leadoff hit. The Mets eventually walked the bases loaded before he plunked Conger to end the game.
Dillon Gee allowed four earned runs, battling through 5 2/3 innings. He allowed six hits, walked four and struck out five. He allowed two home runs, including a solo home run to Mike Trout in the first inning.
Every Mets starter had a hit, including Travis d’Arnaud, who hit his first home run of the season, a solo shot in the third inning. Josh Satin hit a two-run double in the fourth inning, but that was the last the Mets would get on the board.
