People continue to say this season is a wash. However, Chris Young is gone! Did you look at the Mets next 11 games? Phil's, Nats and Cubs. I think the Mets can take 8 games and gain 4-5 on the Wild Card.

den dekker turns 27 years of age tomorrow. Time for him to show something if he wants to become a regular at the MLB level.

Kinda feel bad for CY in that he seems like a quality teammate but if the results are not there, let's face it, MLB is (or should be) a results-based business. It's not like he wasn't given ample opportunity to break out. I hope he catches on somewhere. Maybe Atlanta or Washington - and provides our pitchers the same support at bat that he didn't provide FOR them when he played for us.

Won't happen, of course, but I wouldn't mind facing him and giving him the horse-collar against a division rival....

Now that Flores is the everyday SS, CY has been DFAed, and Kirk and den Decker are on the roster, what are people going to complain about?

Good luck to Chris Young. Heard his interview. Sounded a little delusional that he did not see this coming but time marches on. Should've been done weeks ago, but you can't say the Mets did not give him a chance.

Last night's game almost had a different winner in the shaky 9th inning. It made me realize how well Colon pitched before Eveland and Mejia took over. But, a win is a win and our Metsies did not surrender. Lets Go Mets!

I don't think Brignac was happy with Mejia's "slam the door" routine.

Brignac didn't look too thrilled with Mejia's celebratory antics after the strikeout. Could be interesting with Hamels this evening. lol

Use 'they're', short for 'they are.' The word 'there' refers to a place.

Atlanta and Washington are well-run. They wouldn't touch him with a ten-foot pole.

It's the Mets. I'm sure we'll come up with something.

@1harris1 I think it was towards the ump about called Strike 2 in that at bat.  Could be wrong though.

@1harris1 I've been wondering when Mejia's antics might tick off a batter. Surprised it took this long.
