Frank Francisco played catch in Port St. Lucie today

Frank Francisco played catch today, throwing from 60 feet with Terry Collins in Port St. Lucie, according to Adam Rubin of ESPN New York.

Francisco was shutdown early in camp after experiencing discomfort in his surgically repaired elbow.

3:00 pm: Is it bad that I find Terry playing catch to be the more newsworthy part of this story? I mean, he never stops running around camp. At the very least, he’s pacing in center field shagging pop ups. Maybe he’s a secret candidate for the outfield?
