The Mets tagged Phillies pitching for 12 hits — 10 extra-base hits — including RBI doubles by Matt Harvey, Eric Young Jr., David Wright, Juan Lagares and Marlon Byrd.

Wright finished the day with a home run, two doubles, a triple, two RBI and two runs scored.

Young went 3-5 with an RBI and two runs scored.

Harvey allowed just two hits over six innings before a short rain delay ended his day. He walked one and struck out six on only 72 pitches.

The bullpen turned in a spotless effort, with LaTroy Hawkins turning in one and Brandon Lyon throwing two scoreless.

What could you say other than this Mets game was the most dominating they’ve looked all year? Extra base hits abound, a stellar – but rain-shortened – day for Harvey and a spotless bullpen.

You can’t ask for anything more.

The team is clicking over the last week, taking series from the Braves and Phillies on the same road trip. That is something no Mets team has even done before, and that is awesome.
