Eric Young Jr runs to first

Eric Young Jr. hit today, will try to run Tuesday

Eric Young Jr. hit during an extended spring training game in St. Lucie on Monday (Santucci, June 9).

Young said he would try to run the bases on Tuesday.

He tried to run this past weekend, but felt tightness in his strained right hamstring. He reportedly backed off his rehab program and is not expected to return from the disabled when he’s eligible this week.

Young was placed on the disabled list on May 25.

Remember when ballplayers were lanky and thin and they never got hurt?  Like Ted Williams?  I wish ballplayers would stay out of the weight room.
