Double-amputee Mets fan gets a surprise from David Wright

James Lozano, 16, lost both of his legs to amputations at eight months old. Lozano, an inspiration to so many people, recently got a private tour of Citi Field, but was surprised to find David Wright as his tour guide.

Young man is a true inspiration. D. Wright is a class act.

Just a wonderful piece. Truly inspirational young man. David Wright is all class and every true METS fan should cherish every moment he pulls on the jersey. He has heart, courage, compassion and is a true champion that we are lucky to have.

Still probably a better SS than Ruben Tejada.

Just remember that there is such a thing as real life out there. We bitch and moan about a bunch of millionaires playing a child's game and here is a young man struggling to get by without any legs. We take so much for granted in this world and don't count our blessings when we should.

@mets1973  Its true. This kid could have given up. He could have at 5 said to himself I'm angry at the world. To heck with everyone, including my parents for making me this way. Yet he persevered, took on his disability head on, and is now an inspiration to hundreds of people young and old that no matter what lemons life may throw at you a little kindness and humility can make a lemonade that is oh so sweet. Great job by the Mets and David for giving back some joy to this young man who has given joy to so many others.
