David Wright left Thursday night’s game after being hit in the head by a pitch from Brewers RHP Johnny Hellweg.
Wright passed a concussion test, according to ESPN New York, which Terry Collins later confirmed.
Wright later told reporters he feels fine.
“It’s scary, having been through it before, but this seems different,” Wright explained. “It was not as painful this time.”
Nevertheless, according to Collins, Wright will do a battery of tests before Friday’s game to see if he experiences a headache.
“If he can play, he’ll play,” Collins said.
Collins also is said he is concerned about Wright’s thumb, since he turned and fell hard on his hand after the pitch.
