Darin Gorski promoted to Triple-A Las Vegas

Mets LHP prospect Darin Gorski has been promoted to Triple-A Las Vegas.

Gorski is 4-2 with a 2.22 ERA and 1.006 WHIP with Double-A Binghamton this season. Gorski was promoted to Triple-A for three starts last year and posted a 6.59 ERA and 1.902 WHIP.

The 26-year-old had an outside shot to make the Mets bullpen out of Spring Training, both last year and this year.

RHP John Church will also be added to the 51s roster, while RHP Greg Peavey is sent from Triple-A to Double-A after making a few spot starts for them. RHP Ryan Fraser was promoted from advanced Single-A to Double-A Binghamton.

Gorski and Matz seem like they could be two really good lefties. Mets never won a pennant without good lefty starters. Kooz, Matlack, Bobby O. and Al Leiter.

I like this kid. His ceiling is not high, but yeah, it was time to give him a shot at triple a and if maybe he can a long relief/spot start kind of guy.
