Daniel Murphy played 7 innings at second base and went 0-5 at the plate in a Triple-A game against the Marlins today.
9:35 am: Murphy played five innings at second base during a minor league game yesterday and went 1-for-2 with a single and a walk.
Murphy strained his intercostal muscle in mid-February and has not played in a Grapefruit League game yet this spring.

Murphy will probably keep playing minor league games until the team is absolutely sure he can be ready for Opening Day; because, if he plays in a Major League game, re-injures his intercostal muscle and has to go on the disabled list, the Mets can no longer back date his assignment, which means he would definitely have to miss more than the first five days of the season.
